BIOPIX-T, which is a FORTH spin-off company, announced that the portable molecular diagnostic platform “PEBBLE” as well as the compatible diagnostic test for coronavirus, are now commercially available upon notification to the EOF (Greek National Organization for Medicines). This device is based on research conducted by BIOPIX-T executives within the company and in Biosensors Lab at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (IMBB-FORTH) in Crete. This work is fully in line with FREE@OPOC objectives and is expected to reinforce the consortium’s activities to develop tools to help Healthcare access across the globe.
